Apprehensive
1.To be apprehensive about something is to be worried that something bad will happen. It is to constantly be worried about the unknown. It is to feel uneasy about something terrible coming. A character in apprehensive text would seem uneasy and nervous about an unknown event.
2. "At first Ikemefuna was very much afraid. Once or twice he tried to run away, but he did not know where to begin. He thought of his mother and his three-year-old sister and wept bitterly. Nwoye’s mother was very kind to him and treated him as one of her own children. But all he said was: 'When shall I go home?' ” (Things Fall Apart).
